God

What about God?

A word. "God" is an attempt to spell in a short form that which is the universal intelligence that created and connects all this we call the universe, our world, our lives, our communities.... All of it and us.

This page is something of our politically correct page. To dispense of what ever emotion or reaction that word may elicit in your mind, gut or heart. Some of us still carry a bad taste left in our mouths from an unfulfilled life in a church, or a fear based in the separations that religions necessarily create to define themselves as  the path to enlightenment. Some of us believe in a single God; some of us believe in a pantheon of Gods; some of believe in no such thing; some of us believe something else. This web site and the Paradox Centers are not about that debate, except that the debate is, paradoxically, inevitable.

Having said that, at The Paradox Centers we do believe in a synergy of connection. That we are connected to each other and to the rest of the world in some un-nameable manner that is larger than the sum total of all of us. G-O-D is a 3-letter word to sum all of that up. No gender is intended. No dogma implied. No image imagined. No belief required.

Please leave behind you your personal belief about that "word." If the word rankles you, raises the hair on the back of your neck or your arms; turns your stomach; soothes you; tightens your breath or loosens it; gives you the comfort of recognizing you are among your kind or makes you flinch at recognizing some dogma you can't stand - just stop and notice. Notice your response and whether that shows you anything about your mind, life, psyche and connection to The Universe called God. The word God on these pages is not intended to enroll you or insist anything of you. It is a symbol that is pronounce-able by English language that indicates whatever you believe about the highest, most honorable, valiant, honoring, generous, compassionate [....long list of superlatives....] embodiment of the synergy of our connection with each other and nature.

Please, as the word "GOD" you see leaves the page and enters your eyes-then-brain-then-thoughts, allow the magic of your mind to respell those 3 letters into the word or phrase you use. No more, no less.

In light and respect for all traditions forever. Thank you.
